About

I was a full-time university professor in March of 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic sent everyone home. Like many teachers, I was still teaching classes, and I decided to start making podcast-lectures for my students to listen to. I figured the podcast was the best medium because it would allow students to listen to the lectures while driving, folding laundry, going for a run, walking the dog, etc.
Several other people I know started to record the lectures as videos. I thought about doing that...

But the thing is that I've always felt more connected to the hosts of the podcasts I listen to than the hosts of YouTube channels or other video content I watch. Given how disconnected everyone seemed to be feeling the podcast seamed like the best way to go.

After doing these lectures for a bit I thought I'd make a different sort of podcast: This one --where I think out loud and in public.

I'm not sure if this will resonate with anyone, but the only way to find out is to make it and see what happens, eh?
